Hey Beaders!

Our table of glass beads is still 75% off (until April 2nd, when they'll be gone) to make way for our expanded selection of semi-precious stones. This weekend one of the big bead shows was in town and we got a lot of new beautiful semi-precious beads including lots of beautiful, inexpensive quartz, some great manufactured sea glass and ceramic pendants from a local Taylors Falls artist, with even more exciting beads on the way.

We aren't completely abandoning our glass beads. We'll still carry Julie's beautiful lampwork beads, we have a newly expanded selection of faceted 6mm Czech glass beads, and will be increasing our selection of seed beads.

Perhaps most excitingly of all we'll be adding two new beading instructors, Patty Schulte and Sandi Doane, both of whom you may know from the Bead Gallery, so we can offer a greater variety of classes much more frequently. Patty specializes in wire- and metal- work and does stunning work with hammered textured and wire wrapped pendants. Sandi, among other amazing talents, does amazing beadwork and has a fantastic sense of color and will start by offering some beginning seed beed beadwork classes in May. Patty will be kicking things off by teaching Jewelry Making Basics: Stringing on Tuesday, April 17. Don't worry, Julie's not going anywhere and she'll now have more time to offer more advanced classes, so look for those too!
